Carbon is a fine, odorless, tasteless, and non-toxic black substance in powder form and is an entirely natural product. It is typically produced from coconut shells, wood, sawdust, bamboo, peat, as well as other natural sources (the carbon filters you see here are produced from coconut shells).

Activated carbon is similar to regular carbon but is heated in a controlled environment and in a vacuum. This process gives it an extremely porous surface. These microscopic holes increase the surface area of the carbon, allowing it to bind various substances that come into contact with it—in both gaseous and liquid forms—in quantities multiple times its own weight. One cubic centimeter of activated carbon has the same surface area as 50,000 square meters.

Activated carbon water filters are divided into granular (powder form) and compact form (carbon block). The permeability of the carbon block (how "tight" it is) is measured in microns (μm). The fewer microns a filter has, the "tighter" the filtration it provides.

• Compact activated carbon filters (extruded) are manufactured from activated carbon powder which, under specific processes, creates filters with a single solid mass.

The nanofiber manufacturing technology creates very dense filters that trap particles up to 1 μm while minimally reducing water flow and pressure.

Made from coconut shell, it ensures the removal of chlorine and unpleasant taste and odor. It is also ideal for Reverse Osmosis systems because its compact structure prevents the escape of carbon particles, thereby increasing the lifespan of the membrane.
