How to Choose the Right Irrigation Pipe.
Pipes for automatic irrigation are made of high-quality polyethylene (PE) with UV protection, weather resistance, and light-proof properties. They are manufactured from materials that do not age, making them suitable for installation both above and below ground. They are ideal for water distribution networks, crop irrigation, greenhouses, and more.
Blind polyethylene (PE) pipes are used to transport water from the source (tap) to your plants. They can be easily cut with pruning shears to create branches, pierced with a special tool called a punch to take water outlets, or fitted directly with drip emitters and other irrigation accessories.
They are available in diameters ranging from 12mm up to 110mm. Their high pressure resistance of 6 atm to 10 atm guarantees long-lasting durability. Blind irrigation pipes are available in white, black, and brown colors.
Typically, pipes with a diameter of 16mm (Ø16) and 20mm (Ø20) are used for watering balconies, terraces, and small gardens. Pipes with a diameter of 25mm (Ø25) and above are suitable for larger gardens, underground irrigation systems with pop-up sprinklers, and water transfer applications.
The water flow rate depends on the pipe diameter, meaning the amount of water that can be delivered per hour. Indicative flow rates by pipe diameter are: Ø16 – 580 L/h, Ø20 – 1,100 L/h, Ø25 – 1,800 L/h, Ø32 – 3,050 L/h, Ø40 – 5,400 L/h, Ø50 – 8,400 L/h. These flow rates are calculated based on a water source pressure of 4 atm, which is the average pressure in water supply networks.

At Allwater, every drop counts. For this reason, we ensure the highest quality raw materials for polyethylene (PE) irrigation pipes through partnerships with leading and well-known irrigation manufacturers (Palaplast, Eurodrip – Rivulis), offering maximum water efficiency without waste in your automatic irrigation system.
